"Ravenna, Take a Look": the music video of Ravenna Welcomes Talents
A collective work of music, dance and images to present Ravenna as a city open to talent.
Ravenna tells its story through the power of music and images. Now available online: "Ravenna, Take a Look", the music video created as part of the Ravenna Welcomes Talents project, promoted by the Municipality of Ravenna and co-funded by the Emilia-Romagna Region under regional law 2/2023 for the Attraction and Valorisation of Talents.
The title is more than a simple invitation to watch: "Take a Look" is an invitation to be surprised. The video is a collective work aimed at offering an authentic and vibrant portrait of the city: a place that carries a unique historical identity while pulsing with a lively creative spirit. Directed by Gerardo Lamattina and produced by Ravenna-based studio Panebarco, it is built around an original song by Bologna-based musician Riccardo Nanni, performed by the young singer Ottavia Salerno.
Filming took place across some of Ravenna's most evocative locations, which were transformed into settings for dance, music and movement — from the historic city centre to the contemporary spaces of the Darsena. Each frame was designed to bring past and present into dialogue, weaving together tradition and innovation.
The video is the result of a broad collaboration with Ravenna's cultural and associative community. Contributing to the project were the Accademia di Belle Arti di Ravenna, the Conservatorio statale Giuseppe Verdi, dance schools I RiBelli del Ballo, Cecchetti Academy and Lo Zodiaco Asd, the parkour collective Shine Parkour, breaker Emma Bonanzi, the Centro Europe Direct della Romagna, the UniBO Campus of Ravenna, the Casa delle Culture, the ESN association and Cooperativa Librazione. Classical dance, parkour, singing and street dance come together in a single, layered narrative that reflects the city's diversity and energy.
