The Bologna for Talent programme is designed to create initiatives and services in collaboration with a network of key stakeholders, with the aim of fostering an attractive, innovative and inclusive environment for talented individuals.

Services provided

The project  provides essential information to facilitate talents wishing to relocate to Bologna, as well as for those already living here and looking for opportunities to stay. 
• The Talent Welcome Desk, provides national and international talents with one-to-one guidance on entry procedures, basic services, job and housing agency contacts, networking events, and more. The Talent Welcome Desk is a free service available in Italian and English. 
• The website offers guidance on administrative procedures, leisure activities and life in the region.
• The opportunities page on Bologna for Talent website, where talents interested in relocating can find featuring companies joining Bologna for Talent and currently seeking skilled professionals.
Resources for companies interested in learning more about Bologna for Talent services, with a dedicated section for those already participating, showcasing their profiles.
• For Italian speakers only, the program BET-Bologna Empowering Talent has been designed to attract young talents and support their integration into the local job market through design thinking oriented challenges.

Office opening hours

The Bologna for Talent Welcome Desk is open, in person and online, only by appointment:
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday online, Thursday in person.
To schedule a meeting, fill out the access form, in either English or Italian.
The Bologna for Talent Welcome Desk is located inside BIS-Bologna Innovation Square headquarters (Piazza Liber Paradisus, 11).

Arts as your future. Creativi per l’Emilia-Romagna 
Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna

The project is part of the actions for the qualification of job-accompanying services and career support of the Emilia Romagna Region and aims to provide new skills to final year students and new graduates aimed at career guidance.

Services provided

The project actions will be developed over two years and include:

• a training programme consisting of several modules with experts for final-year students and recent graduates, which will provide start-up skills for the profession (how to make a CV, a portfolio, a job interview, what to do to start a creative enterprise, how to present an academic research project for a PhD);
• career space, i.e. the creation of a virtual desk on the institutional website dedicated to the presentation of the best talents with reference to the different pathways;
• the organisation of area-specific Career Days, with invitations to companies and studios in the sector for interviews, portfolio viewings, presentation of job opportunities, in order to activate placements in the different realities.

Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna

The project provides tools and opportunities for the orientation and placement of students, recent graduates, PhD and PhD students in the transition from university to the world of work.

Services provided

The University is implementing a range of initiatives to enhance career orientation, placement, and alignment with labor market needs, with a focus on a multicampus and international approach:
• strengthened job orientation activities across campuses, including meetings with industry professionals and testimonials from alumni;
• expanded placement programs to increase contact between target groups and local companies, alongside dedicated mentoring pathways;
• support PhD Career Development exploring non-academic careers, such as seminars, workshops, and networking events with businesses, regional clusters, and public institutions;
• job orientation activities designed for international students, promoting awareness of local services provided by municipalities and the Metropolitan City;
• development of IT tools to support self-directed career planning.
