Located about 80 km from Bologna and 50 km from Rimini, Ravenna is a city of ancient origins and with a glorious past, as well as the largest in Romagna. Its municipal territory is the largest in Italy and includes nine seaside areas on the Romagna Riviera, much frequented by residents and tourists during the summer. Here we find the detached campus of the University of Bologna and also there are industrial research laboratories.
