Serre Dei Giardini Margherita

The most known public park in Bologna is ‘Giardini Margherita’ which is also the biggest city park. If you are a student or need to work with your pc but you don’t want to study or work indoors, you can study in ‘Serre Dei Giardini Margherita’. This open-air place provides seats for studying and socializing. You can find power sockets under the tables and while you are enjoying the beautiful weather, you could study or work outside. As well as you can grab some coffee or some snacks bar next to the studying area.

Salaborsa Library

Salaborsa Library is located in Piazza Maggiore in the heart of Bologna. Salaborsa Library opened in 2001 inside of Palazzo d'Accursio. The access to the library is free. This is a public library and aims to provide a multimedia library through all available documents to everyone. Salaborsa Library provides different facilities, so you can take advantage and study in an historical atmosphere and also visit archeological ruins from the ancient Roman period or attend different types of events organized by the Salaborsa Library itself. Also, you can have some coffee or snack while you are studying since you are in the food quarter. But you should keep in mind the library closing time is changing so, before you go just check the closing timetable and the last entry half hour before the closing time.

Scuderia

Scuderia is Bologna’s one of the best-known student places located in the Piazza Verdi. Because of its location in the University quarter, Scuderia is the meeting point of all students initiatives and events. Inside Scuderia, you can find desks with power sockets so you can go there with your computer for studying. While studying, you can grab some coffee or snack at a discount price with your Unibo student badge from the bar. Also, you can eat, drink or talk with your friends inside or outside Scuderia. If you are looking for a place for studying that is not a library, Scuderia is the best place for you, because you can easily socialize with other students.

Palazzo Hercolani

Palazzo Hercolani

Palazzo Hercolani located in Strada Maggiore, was built as a palace in 1793 for Flippo Hercolani and his family by the architect Angelo Venturoli. The palace is decorated with the Baroque style. In 1973 the University of Bologna bought the building from the Hercolani family and after the restoration work, this place is currently the Unibo Faculty of Political Science. There are 2 libraries inside of the building and each desk in there has power sockets and reading lamps. From April to October you can also choose to study in the beautiful garden of Palazzo Hercolani. You should keep in mind that the garden closes at 6 pm and the library closes at 7 pm.

Zoo is a nice cafe that is also located in Strada Maggiore. Zoo Cafe has a well and modern indoor decoration. While you can meet your friends, at the same time here you have the chance to study with your pc in the inside area. Since you are in a cafe, you can have some coffee and also enjoy the vegetarian/vegan-friendly menu.
