Deepening data analysis, thanks to the tool Skills Intelligence Emilia-Romagna, we discover that online job advertisements, associated with the Automotive macro-chain (part of the S3 Mechanics and Motoring area of ​​specialization) from January 2023 to December 2023 amount to 55.029, i.e. 14,36% of the total online advertisements offered in the regional territory, with a decrease of just the 10,4% compared to the previous year.

The most sought after professional profiles (ESCO level 1) belong to the group Craft and related trades workers (37,6%), followed by Technicians and associate professionals (17,4%), Plant and machine operators and assemblers (15,2%), Professionals (14%).

Taking into consideration only the group of Professionals (ESCO level 1), the top five most sought after professional profiles (ESCO level 4) are:

1. Mechanical engineers - 26,7% of the total ads in E-R
2. Engineering professionals - 18% 
3. Industrial and production engineers - 8,7% 
4. Electronics engineers - 8,3% 
5. Telecommunications engineers - 6% 

All of these five profiles are of HIGH difficulty in finding according to the Excelsior classification.

This means that in Emilia-Romagna there is a great need for these professions, but the profiles necessary to fill this gap are lacking.

In the province of Modena, specifically, the first five most sought after professional profiles (ESCO level 4) are:

1. Mechanical engineers - 591 in the last 12 months
