Located about 100 km from Bologna and only 40 km from the border with the Marche region, Rimini is the main tourist center of the Romagna coast and in general of Emilia-Romagna. In Rimini there is the second airport of the region, Rimini and San Marino International Airport, and another campus of the University of Bologna and several industrial research laboratories.
